The Products Required To Make Scented Soy Wax Candles
The use of fragrance oils dissolved in candle wax has been used by candle makers for many years. This craft or technique of adding fragrance oils to 100% soy wax or natural soy wax blends creates a relaxing feeling on the senses when the aroma drifts through a room where a scented soy wax candle is burning.
To help you make your own special hand crafted scented soy wax candle the following products will be required –
1. Candle making molds. These molds can be acquired from most
candle making stores and are usually made in seamless aluminium, glass
jars or tin in different shapes and sizes.
2. Soy wax. Ensure the wax is either 100% soy or a natural soy wax blend
(no additives). Bags of wax flakes can usually be obtained in various sizes
from 2 pound up to 50 pound bags.
3. Fragrance oils. There is now available over 100 different soy based candle
Fragrances. These can in most cases be obtained in different volumes
e.g. 1oz, 4oz, 8oz and 16oz bottles.
4. Color dye. Dyes can be mixed together to make unique blends and
shades to suit.
5. Cotton wicks and a candle wick trimmer.
